Maraketh’s Chosen
Mor-Rioghan is a Wraith, a void demon, from the Infernal Breach of the Kingdom of Necrosia. Adopted as a baby into the sacred, exiled Order of Maraketh, Mor-Rioghan is trying to find her place amongst the great warrior witches of the order. With war at her doorstep, she is reunited with her long lost best friend Eris, under tenuous circumstances. Can Mor-Rioghan learn what it takes to be a great warrior witch or will she die trying?
About the Writer
James Duran has had a long journey into realizing his dream to become a comic book writer. After his first script, Drunk and Damned, was selected to be part of an anthology of alums from Gail Simone’s Comics School in 2020, he discovered that he wanted pursue creating more comics. Maraketh’s Chosen formed from his love of the supernatural, fantasy, ridiculous OP magic characters, horror, the power of friendship, and discovering who you are. He can be found usually playing co-op competitive video games, reading books and comics, and wishing he was back in San Francisco.
About the Artist
Norn Noszka is a Philadelphia-based illustrator and apprentice tattoo artist with a background in Fine Arts Painting. A graduate of Tyler School of Art, they work primarily on illustrations for tabletop roleplaying games such as Barkeep on the Borderlands and Hit Hotel, in addition to training at Relic Tattoo Studio and teaching community art classes. Maraketh’s Chosen is their debut title as a comic artist. They can be found on Twitter and IG @norn_corporeal.
About the Letterer
Aubrey Lyn Jeppson is a comics editor, letterer, and writer. She’s a spooky person who loves the color purple and autumn vibes. Her comic credits include editing Scott Snyder Presents: Tales from the Cloakroom and Dimensional #1. She has also lettered for titles like Awakening, Let Her Be Evil, and Sharp Wit and the Company of Women. She can be found on Twitter & Instagram @tamingthemuse.
